Mr. Kenneth Leslie

    August 5, 1949  –  October 8, 2017

Kenneth Leslie was born in Huntsville, Alabama on August 5, 1949 to the late Earlest and Mable Leslie. He transitioned this life and went home to be with his Heavenly FATHER on Sunday, October 8, 2017.

He confessed hope in CHRIST and joined St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Elder Dr. William T. Gladys.

His educational years included years spent at William H. Council High School and he graduated from Lee High School. He furthered his education at J. F. Drake Community College receiving an Associates degree in Auto Mechanics.

He served in the U.S. Army as a Signal Specialist. Upon receiving a honorable discharge, he later transferred to the U.S. Army Reserves, where he served several years with the 543rd Signal Unit.

He was employed with U.S. Army Publication Branch as a Tech Publication Writer.

He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters: Kendra Leslie and Jannette Baker and three sisters: Catherine Crutcher, Durlean Bradford, all of Huntsville, Alabama and Nilmar (Stanley) Small of Killeen, Texas; two brothers: Dillard W. Leslie of Denver, Colorado and Gregory L. (Donna) Leslie of Huntsville, Alabama; one aunt, Pearl (Jimmy) Battle; Godmother, Mrs. Minnie Bass; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; five nephews; two nieces; three great-nephews; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church (3020 Belafonte Avenue NW, Huntsville, AL 35816) with Pastor Jaymes Mooney officiating. Interment was in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace.
